Weight-loss update

Weight on Monday October 27, 2008 = 425.3 lbs.
Weight on Monday November 10, 2008 = 407.1 lbs.

Total loss = 18.2 lbs.
% of body weight = 4.3%
PPD= 1.3 lbs.

I don't feel any different other than I'm eating less naturally, i.e., I get full quicker than when not dieting. No improvement in quality of life.

Dieting sucks.

Normally I'd be cheering you on...but since this is going to hurt ME...then I say, yes, dieting sucks. You shouldn't do it. NO NO NO!!!! ;)

Any progress is good. Have you heard about that new tv show Ruby, where that lady who weighs 400+ is going to lose it with the help of a team of experts? I didn't catch it yesterday, but I've heard the buzz.

To paraphrase a great number of people of late, "YES YOU CAN! YES YOU CAN! YES YOU CAN!"

C'mon Mac, did I ever think I could run 13.1 miles? No. Does it hurt like holy hell to do it? Most of the time, yes. How much weight have I lost because of running for two years? Maybe 15 lbs. 20 tops.

You may never see or feel the immediate effects of your struggle and sacrifice. Keep doing it. You'll know that it's worth it.
