That's what Islam means in Arabic, submission to God's will.

The God of Islam, referred to as Allah (meaning "the [male] god") in the Koran, evidently requires complete submission to every facet of life. A Muslim who no longer believes in the religion of Islam must be executed. Evidently an all powerful god is incapable of striking down the convert himself and needs humans to execute unbelievers for him. Why does God need a spaceship?

We stood by while they blew up those Buddhist statues before the war. We should move in and rescue this man if indeed they move to execute him. Give him religious asylum.

I cannot support continued involvement and investment in Afghanistan if their Constitution does not protect this man's religious freedom. If he is executed, I submit that we salt their poppy fields and leave them to their own devices.

You really have to dig around on several news websites to find this story. By the Grace of God, I even found a link that says that Rahman will NOT be executed. MSNBC, CNN, and USA Today all hide this story well (I have no idea how you found it on Yahoo).

Afghanistan truly does live in the Stone Age, do they not? Someone say a prayer that Hamid Karzai has chosen to spare someone's life because he just so happens to DISAGREE with Islam.

All the libs out there think that our country is run by the 'religious right'. Go live in Afghanistan and have a little taste of how it's really done.

After doing some research, I found this quote from an Afghan Supreme Court Judge:

We will invite him again because the religion of Islam is one of tolerance. We will ask him if he has changed his mind. If so we will forgive him.

I see, so if I recant decisions that I have made, then they are 'tolerated' and 'forgiven'. What the hell?

And where are the Democrats!?!? The defenders of civil rights and liberties? BUSH LEAGUE. Rick Santorum and Jim DeMint have taken action.

I want everyone to remember this name: Tom Lantos. Why is that name significant? Right now he's the only Democrat in either House that's standing up for this man. Probably, because this story hits a little to !@#$ing close to home.
